Fodele is approximately a 25 minute drive from Heraklion Airport, just off the main Heraklion – Chania highway. Fodele beach is 3km from the village. At the beach, upon purchase of an orange juice (or something stronger) sun beds are provided free for the day. Orange juice, Raki and Olive Oil are local specialities and are worth trying (beware of the Raki).
